I have used a whimsical approach for my take on portraiture by using the unusual frame of a dishwasher to show humour, personality and connection. I have known most of my subjects for a long time: The objects within are chosen to reflect parts of the person and my relationship with them. My intention with these works is to demonstrate a unique form of portraiture which challenges the conventional form, whilst using humour and whimsy to connect the viewer with the subject. \r\nCURRICULUM VITAE\r\n Linda Zarb \r\n Qualifications \r\n \r\n 2009 Diploma of Visual Arts CAE \r\n \r\nSolo Exhibition \r\n \r\n 2012 Mind’s Eye, 69 Smith Street Gallery, Collingwood \r\n \r\nJoint Exhibitions \r\n \r\n 2009 Memory, Cambridge Street Studio Gallery, Collingwood \r\n Group Exhibitions \r\n \r\n 2015 Moving Portrait’s, Cambridge Street Studio Gallery, Collingwood \r\n \r\n 2011 Linden Gallery Postcard Show, St Kilda \r\n \r\n 2010 Linden Gallery Postcard Show, St Kilda \r\n \r\n 2010 Caulfield Grammar Art Show, Wheelers Hill \r\n A Fashion Statement, Artists on the Move, Melbourne Central \r\n \r\n 2009 Artful, CAE Graduate Show – 45 Downstairs Gallery \r\n Carlton Rotary Art Show, Latrobe St \r\n \r\n 2008 Landscape Exhibition, Pigment Gallery \r\n \r\n 2007 Mid-year exhibition, CAE \r\n \r\n 2007 Journal Café, Book making exhibition \r\n Dip Visual Arts first year, Pigment Gallery, Flinders Lane \r\n \r\n 2006 Bronze Sculpture Exhibition, City Library \r\n \r\n 2006 Mid year exhibition, CAE \r\n \r\n 2006 City Library \r\n \r\nCollections \r\n Council of Adult Education, Melbourne \r\n \r\n \r\nAcquisitions \r\n Private Collections, Interstate and Overseas \r\n \r\n |
