ARTIST BIO

Graeme is a professional artist living near Stanthorpe, Qld. He has his own gallery and picture framing business there.

He has been painting for over 20 years, mainly as a hobby. He has recently given up having a day job in order to have more time to get more serious about painting.

No particular style is followed or effort made to make any statement. Enjoyment comes from simply the challenge of creating and the feel of paint on the brush (similar, maybe, to the feel of playing and composing with a guitar). His idea is to produce work that is of a good standard and has appeal to other people. He works mainly in acrylics and uses both realistic and abstract styles.

During warmer months he works for periods outdoors. This helps train his eye to see colour more clearly. During warmer months more abstract works are done in the studio.

He has won numerous awards over  the years. Over recent times he hasn\'t felt the need to enter many art shows and has simply painted for the enjoyment.
