ARTIST NOTES: This piece was a struggle of allowing. The spiral was uneven, not perfect and for a long time I kept it hidden. It was 2 months into the project (2 months of torture) I sat and stared at the door as I usually did struggling with it's imperfections that I dreamed of the door you now see. I remember being humbled and ashamed at my judgement of imperfections not allowing me to see the beauty that was before me. The lesson, I learned was the Art of Allowing - Love. For love does not see thru the eyes of judgement but sees all there is. This is my first piece of work as an artist - I am 46 years old and never knew what lay inside and the love for myself and my imperfections. The door to the unknown was a gift that to this day stirs me physically and I see the same as people tend to want to stay in it's presence. I am humbled and I am free as I discover my unknown...
This piece took 6 months many tears, much turmoil but that's a small price to pay for the love I now feel.
